Reference and information services are provided by all the libraries in the system. Enquiries may be made in person, over the telephone, by fax, and through email. The library also maintains Reference Desks manned by competent staff to assist users with their information needs at every level of the library. Students and staffs will be taught search strategies in information retrieval. This is one of the way to help them retrieve from printed and electronic sources, and to evaluate information from the sources. Students and staffs will also be shown how to access and search the electronic databases such as the online journals. The Information Services Department consists of friendly Librarians who provide expert help in finding information, both in PTAR and on the Internet. The Librarians will assist users in using the reference collection such as books, online catalogue, computerized databases, and web pages. The Librarians also assist with any type of information need such as class research assignments.
